How often have you said to yourself, I wish things would slow down? I wish life was simpler!

Modern life can be taxing. Today we live faster, work more, and have less free time than ever before. In addition, our ‘conveniences’ often come at the expense of the purity of our environment.

It’s no wonder we are the ’stress generation’. Did you know that you hear more news in one DAY that your great-grandparents heard in an entire year? One day!

Combine the stress caused by too much information with the changes in our environment and the food we eat and you end up with a losing combination.

The USDA has issued a uniform standard for labeling foods with the word Organic, with symbols to tell you that the food is grown without artificial pesticides, genetic engineering, growth hormones or irradiation. Fine points in the labeling laws let you know if the food is made from 100 percent organic ingredients, 95 percent or 70 percent.

None of this makes foods more nutritious or safer.

Want to lose a little weight? Even better, would you like to keep that weight off? Weight loss can be easier than you think.

Try eating several small meals a day. This does not mean eating several small meals of high calorie food. It also does not mean you need to give up all the foods you love. Eat half of what you think you want and you will be surprised at the difference this can make in the area of weight loss. When you eat five or six small meals a day you are not as likely to overeat because you will not be as hungry. People make a big mistake when they try to lose weight by eating only once a day.

There is only one drug in the world so well known that it’s called the Pill. For more than forty years, more people have taken ?the Pill? than any other prescribed medicine in the world.

Sex, pregnancy, and contraception have been hot topics for millennia. It wasn’t until the U.S. government approved the birth control pill in 1960 that possibilities for contraception changed dramatically. The majority of women — and plenty of men — welcomed ?the Pill?.

Life is extraordinary filled with wonderful people to show up to teach us things. Mitzi, a special friend from high school, sent me a book, The Game of Life and How to Play It, when I was struggling with a sickness years ago. The author speaks about the law of attraction, which I have written about previously. In addition, she writes, ?No man is your enemy, no man is your friend, every man is your teacher.? When you look at life this way, it becomes so simple.

So, does the low-carb diet work? Anecdotal evidence and recent studies both conclude that following a strict low-carb diet will in fact help you lose weight. Serious questions remain, however, and must be addressed before fully embracing the low-carb lifestyle. SOME of these questions include:
