I have to pick up my kids.
I had to stay late at work.
I have to cook dinner for my family.
I’m too tired.
I’m intimidated by the gym.
It’s too cold outside.

Most of us already know that we should take the time to exercise, but something always seems to get in the way. Let’s face it. We all have plenty of excuses not to exercise. Some of them even seem pretty legitimate. When we share our excuses with others, they sympathize. I know how you feel, they say.

The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES 1999-2002 survey) determined that approximately 65% of the U.S. adult population was either obese or overweight. This survey also indicated that an estimated 16% of children between the ages of 6 and 19 years are overweight. And, there is no doubt that obesity is on the rise in our country!

Why the upwards trend in obesity? As most of us are aware, Americans have fallen prey to high-fat, high-sugar, high-calorie diets (common in fast food restaurants). We?re typically eating way-y-y more calories each day than we need for our lifestyles! (But, oh! Those ?comfort? foods sure taste good and temporarily soothe our psyches, don?t they?!)

What Is Thiamin?

Known as Vitamin B1, thiamin was the very first B-Vitamin discovered. As an integral part of the B-complex spectrum of vitamins, thiamin is primarily involved in energy metabolism ? turning foods into a useable energy source for the body, known as ATP (adenosine triphosphate). All of the B-vitamins work together to produce ATP, and each different vitamin is also involved in more specific aspects of the human body. Thiamin helps support healthy nerves and a healthy heart, is involved in positively influencing mood, and is also now considered useful for soothing heartburn.

How does Thiamin Work?

Call us romantics. But do you know what we like to think? That every time a warrior in the Mahabharat shot an arrow from his bow, it was not to kill. Rather, it was a metaphorical act - to trigger off a quiverful of new ideas and let them cleave through the air thick with outdated notions. It was to allow clean, invigorating thoughts to shaft through the excess ‘fat’ and generate fresh, positive energy into the field of life. To restore, to rejuvenate, to bring back a balance, a rationality, to make new patterns of peace with a surging vibrancy into an almost-forgotten art called living.

Arthritis is a condition that is characterized by pain. How does Arthritis cause pain, and why?

To understand the answer to the question of how does Arthritis cause pain, it is necessary to review the purpose of pain. Pain is a function of the human nervous system and it serves a definite purpose. When something is wrong and harm is being done to the body in most anyway, chemicals are produced at the site of the disturbance. These chemicals cause a signal to be sent through the nervous system to the brain. The brain translates this signal into the sensation of pain.

We all know what way we are heading and whether we like it or not we are all going to die at some point. Since the dawn of man (or short thereafter) we have tried to keep death and old age at a distance. An ancient myth talked about the fountain of eternal youth and similar stories have been told time and time again.

Stories about how to keep one from growing old have passed from generation to generation and even today we are spending billions and billions trying to fight it. Some do it by surgery and some try to cover it up with cosmetics. But solutions are only temporary and expensive and I believe that there are better ways to go about it.

For many years, ignorance has hidden many important signs of insanity that exist in the human being, but now we have a complete vision of the human psyche, thanks to a research made through dream interpretation in the unknown region of our psychic sphere.

Human conscience is huge and has two different and independent sides. Its human side is very thin and underdeveloped, since there are three psychological functions that are not well developed in this part. One of them is half-developed but the other two live in an atrophic condition, provoking craziness in the rest of the human conscience. However, more craziness comes from the wild side of our conscience, which occupies the biggest part of our psychic sphere and is very powerful and violent.
