“Life is just a bowl of cherries.” Whoever came up with this quote probably never was diagnosed with diabetes or depression. When you have diabetes, life can seem like a bowl of rotten bananas! But, just because you live with diabetes, doesn’t mean you have to live with depression!

What’s the big deal with depression?

Depression is shown to be a risk factor for type 2 diabetes because it’s one of the most common and dangerous complications. Diabetics are at far greater risk for acquiring depression than non-diabetics because diabetics have more stress than non-diabetics. Controlling diabetes requires a large number of physical and mental adaptations:

Your depression will be cured with the new attitude you will adopt in your life henceforth, because humanity needs you and because you need a purpose in your life.

As you can observe, our world is a very sad place, where you cannot be happy as you imagined when you were a child. Here, things are very difficult and nothing is as the way you wish it would be.

You must have the attitude of a hero because you have an obligation to be a hero in a world on the brink of complete destruction by human indifference and disrespect as well as futility and hypocrisy.

Have you heard the expression, an idle mind is the Devil’s workshop? There is a lot of truth to this. Our minds are powerful and the things you think about can make or break your attitude towards life. A good example of this is the person who looks forward to retirement, but get depressed months afterwards and returns to work. One would think this would be the best time of your life having the ultimate flexible schedule. Unfortunately it doesn’t always work out this way.

Some people have immense difficulty in deciding what to do and solving their problems. They let their problems and lack of solutions continue bothering them, but not because their problems cannot really be solved. They only do this because they don’t know how to solve them, they cannot see the most important issues and what is really provoking their problems, or because they stick to the same rut, feeling surrounded by hurdles from all sides.

Many people suffer from doubt, which is sometimes so strong that it makes them doubt even the most probable facts and deductible consequences and assume that they are going to happen exactly as they predict based on their previous experiences.

Depression is one of the most crippling, but misunderstood disorders ever encountered. Research has come up with several different types of depression now, each with it’s own unique characteristics and symptoms. However, they’ve also found that some types of depression actually overlap into other kinds too and that they’re original diagnosis of a patient could be wrong.

One of the types of depression that is extremely difficult to diagnose is called “bipolar disorder”. Unfortunately, new studies have found that because of these new overlap theories that it can now actually take up to five years (yes, five years) before a person could possibly be correctly diagnosed as “manic” or bipolar.

Unemployment is one of the greatest vices of the global world. The onset of globalization has also set in the unequal distribution of income. The competition is cut throat and the pressure to excel is maximum. Only the ones who can survive this competition and emerge as winners get the best opportunities in terms of employment. Its not that the others don’t get employed, they do but their jobs are not that lucrative.

It has been found that the traditional indicators of heart disease such as smoking, high cholesterol and high blood pressure account for about 50% of heart attacks. In trying to account for the rest the focus has moved to psychosocial factors - personality and behavior which give rise to stress hormones. Chronic stress, Type A personality, anger, depression and social isolation not only have a direct negative effect on the cardiovascular system but they also increase the effects of other cardiac factors. This article looks at two of these factors - depression and anger.

Depression and Suicide
By Christina Sponias

One cannot completely cure depression without knowing how to cure craziness because several times, depression is the initial step of craziness or a consequence of craziness.

I use the term craziness all the time, instead of saying neurosis, hysteria, psychosis and schizophrenia, because craziness is only one process.

We have divided it into several stages and assigned a name to each stage, but the process is exactly the same with the difference that it gives to the patient based on different characteristics as the human conscience is gradually destructed by the anti-conscience, the wild and evil part of the human conscience.

Food can affect our mood and what we eat and when we eat can impact depression. Everyone feels depressed at some time, but when depression deepens or persists for a long time, it can decrease our energy for living and make us more prone to disease as it affects our immune system.

When we are depressed because of some reason appetite is less with more craving for sweets and caffeine products. Generally people prefer to take lots of sweets, chocolates. It is also found that some people drink more tea or coffee in depressed mood whereas some people prefer smoking and drinking alcohol to come out of depression, but this is not solution at all as these things boost ups mood for just shorter period and when their effect decreases leave person with more felling down.
