Above everything else, you must love yourself. If you can not love yourself, it is impossible to love others.

Find the positives of your personality, smarts, looks or whatever else that you have going for you and capitalize on it. If you sit around and sulk over what you do not have you are wasting precious time with a man that could be your dream mate.

Women are too hard on themselves and often lose a man while they are knit picking every little flaw that they have. Men do not want to hear this and are very turned off by the constant abuse that women inflict upon themselves. So, fall in love with yourself!

Tip #2 – Feeling for others

When researching the traits of women with great self esteem or self confidence levels, it was found that they all have high feelings for their fellow man.

These women are concerned with the good of the group, society and community and lack the self-centered concern of only looking out for themselves. So, take that into consideration and set out to help someone else.

Many places can always use volunteers or helpers of some sort and one of the fastest ways to build self-esteem and confidence is to help someone that is less fortunate or in need. Take a look around the soup kitchen or the local children’s hospital and you will find a new found freedom for how great you really are and the luck that you have.

Tip #3 – Understanding differences

It is important to accept the fact that not everything is perfect, there are flaws and that is acceptable. No one person walking the Earth is without flaws and the sooner you come to understand that they are what make people unique and sometimes a better person, the sooner you will have great self confidence.

Allowing differences in people and accepting them for what they are instead of what they could be will help you accept who you are.

Let go of unrealistic goals for yourself or anyone else for that matter. Quit trying to change people to be more like how you think they should be. This will knock your self confidence tremendously, because after failing to change the person, you will feel like a failure yourself. Accept differences and be happy that you are healthy!

Tip #4 – Have fun

Try to accept yourself and have a good time. When people are having a good time, they often forget about their problems, worries and shortcomings. Take a vacation or get away with a group of friends. Spending time with others and laughing can take your mind off things giving your spirit time to heal.

Sometimes your self confidence can take a real hit after a nasty relationship or break up and you may just need a chance to allow your inner person to heal from the trauma. That is where having fun will help!

At some point in life, almost every person has to work on his or her confidence levels and by understanding that it takes time to heal and work toward the repair, it will speed along the process. The sooner that you can admit that your confidence level needs help, the sooner you will be back on track!
